A glass of Wine- blessing in disguise

A Glass Of Wine- Blessing In Disguise - MashupCorner

Right from our childhood we’re used to an age old phrase—“an apple a day, keeps the doctor away”. Well that’s about to change. After pondering over this article, I bet you’ll definitely replace the apple with a glass of wine. The new phrase would be “a single glass of wine a day, keeps the doc away”.
Alcohol is definitely not an everyday desired drink, but when you finish reading this article, you’ll understand the great deal of injustice that has been done to our great friend- a glass of wine.
We’ll realize that Captain Haddock was, indeed, one of the most intellectual personalities ever on this planet! So without wasting much time let’s get to business and check out the benefits of the drinking wine regularly.
Benefits of drinking wine
1. Healthy heart
Well it may sound real crazy, but research has shown alcohol containing beverages—and in general wine— have natural antioxidants called phenols that prevents heart diseases and reduces the chances of hypertension in a person. Well there’s a twist though, and it is that, its consumption should be moderate.

2. Get the good cholesterol
The HDL (high density lipoprotein) or good cholesterol present in the red wine helps to remove LDL (low density lipoprotein), or bad cholesterol, from a body. LDL is the primary constituent for heart blocking and artery clogging.

3. Recovery from malaria
Some forms of Wines, tonics and gins contain quinine, an alkaloid that has an analgesic and inflammatory property that helps in the recovery from malaria. Now malaria is a serious problem in the tropical climatic regions, hence a drink there can cause no harm.

4. Protection from common cold
Studies have verified that drinking wine helps to fight common cough and cold. Moderate drinkers built a healthy immunity against catching cold. But, then again, we should pay attention to the word ‘moderate’. However no significant recovery has ever been found in people consuming alcohol after already cold has hit them. So with winter approaching fast, we should start refilling our stocks and cellars of wine.

5. Immortality
Well it’d be too much if I say that drinking alcohol or wine makes you immortal, but research has shown that antioxidant present in wine increases the life span of a human being by inducing longevity genes. So drink wine and live longer!

6. Anti-aging
The anti-oxidant present in wine helps a person in maintaining his/her young looks. Girls, now please don’t start crowding in front of the liquor shops.

7. Creativity
Enough with the health benefits, now let’s get to some logical and circumstantial stuff. Alcohol or Wine helps us to get more creative than normal. A practical test carried out, showed that drunken people performed better than their sober competitors. Guess Leonardo da Vinci was intoxicated most of the time then!

8. Improves IQ and memory
Tests have shown that people under the influence of alcohol—especially wine— performed better in an IQ tests than people not under the influence. People also develop a great memory with regular consumption of limited amounts of wine. One should’ve checked Albert Einstein’s wine cellar.

9. Mouth freshener
No more chewing the cud (Orbit or the Ripley’s). Wine helps to get rid of plaque in the mouth. So, if you’re planning to go out on a date, then I must suggest you to keep some alcohol on the menu.

These are just a few significant positives of alcohol consumption. Just 1 glass of wine is enough to help you a get rid of a doctor or dentist. And, regular moderate wine glasses can make you an Einstein or a Da Vinci, well at least by theory!
Ironically, I might’ve just proved the point “a glass of wine a, day keeps the doc away”. Well, now it’s up to you whether you’d continue with an apple or you’d want to switch to something with more stylish.
Drinkers! Raise your glasses, and say Cheers to wine!!!!!
