UNDERSTAND THE REQUIREMENT
Do not rush in determining what you have to offer and what profit would this project bag you. First, understand the requirement of the project thoroughly. More often than not clients could not find the right words t explain exactly what they are looking at. It would be more like you will start working towards X and they would later be asking about Y. To avoid such wastage of time and energy, it is feasible to understand your clients thoroughly. Do not go on their words always, try to talk to them more about their projects and try reading “between the lines”.
Once you successfully identify the aim of the project, you finally get to work with your methodology. Depending upon the policy that your company prefers, like cost efficiency or timely delivery. You would chalk out the various means of fulfilling the project requirement.
EVALUATE IT WELL
Once your methodology is complete, you need to move on evaluating your solutions. If your client were more concerned about your budget, then giving him/her a solution that requires more finance would be a waste. Hence, you need to figure out what suits your client the most and then move ahead with unveiling the aspects of the solution to your client.
Even though the proposal is going to document between your company and the client, it is best to display what are you best at. Giving them reasons to opt you instead of your competitors definitely leads to the creation of a frame worked perception in their mind. In a way stating your strengths or stating why you should be preferred gives you an edge over your competitors.
OUTLINE THE PROPOSAL
Even before you consider writing your project proposal make an outline frame of points that you are willing to cover and mention the subheads as well. For example under time and cost heading you can also mention why would it cost this much. Preparing an outline avoids further confusion and gives you room to improve.
Now that you are done with all the six stages, you can begin writing your project proposal. Do not forget to proofread and recheck your project twice because no matter how much brilliant is your proposal, grammatical or punctuations errors are enough to let you down
